It is with a very heavy heart that we can confirm that long-standing Sprintcars Queensland member Rob Kyle sadly lost his battle with cancer in the early hours of this morning. Rob was one of the kindest and most generous people you could meet, and his passion for Speedway, and Sprintcars, is something to be admired. Rob has been passionately involved in Sprintcars for several decades, as a very successful driver in his own right and as car owner, and to this day supports the sport he loved so much, despite his recent ill-heath. Rob is still the registered car owner of his Q8 Sprintcar, and, with Brock Dean now behind the wheel, it still makes regular appearances on the race track, even though Rob himself has been unable to attend the race meetings. He has had a profound impact on those who had the honour of knowing him, and it truly was an honour. He will be deeply missed and his contribution to the lives of all of us lucky enough to have known him will never be forgotten. Sprintcars Queensland extend our most sincere condolences to all of Rob’s family during this difficult time.
